We realize that the Control Panel in Windows Xp contains many tools for the system value adjustment. Therefore, this is an important thing to prevent somebody with no computer skill accessing to the Control Panel and setting wrong system values. Someone may spoil your computer. We can disable others to access the Control Panel by these steps.
- Go to Start > Run.

Type the command gpedit.msc then press Enter.

- Now Windows bring you to the Group Policy page. Click on Administrative Templates which is in the left hand of the Goup Policy page.
- Double click on the Control Panel folder which is in the right hand of the page.

- Double click on the message “Prohibit access to the Control Panel”.
- Now it appears Prohibit access to the Control Panel Properties window. Click on setting tab then choose Enabled.
- Click Apply and Ok button.
If you want to access the Control Panel again, please follow the steps but select “Not Configured” instead of ”Enabled”.
