Today, I try to turn on Automatic Updates in Windows XP Service Pack 2 (SP2) to run Windows Live Installer (MSN), but it’s not functional on my wish. Then I search for the solutions to solve this issue and I get that this problem occures affter applying Windows XP Service Pack 2. Fortunately, Windows system has the command to resolve this issue. If you are facing this problem, do these steps.
The right way is to reregister the following files:

- wups.dll
- wups2.dll
- wuweb.dll

To reregister file by file. Follow the steps with each file above.
- Close All the browsers, Microsoft Internet Explorer.
- Click on Start > Run .
- Enter the command, Regsvr32 filename. Note that filename is each file on the list above.
- If you succeed in sloving, you will get the message, “DllRegisterServer in filename succeeded”. Then click on Ok button.
- Redo all the steps by replacing filename with the file you want to reregister that are all the listing files.
